The Clovis city commission will meet 5:15 p.m. today at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.
Agenda items include:
• Introduction of an ordinance to develop a project participation agreement between the city and Ag Power. The company plans to build a pair of biogas facilities in Clovis with a $140 million capital investment and 55 jobs created.
• A request to allow Rooney Moon Broadcasting to hold a family fun day at Hillcrest Park 11 a.m.-4 p.m. May 27 and a waiver of splash pad and zoo fees.
• A request for a motorcyclist awareness rally and parade 10 a.m.-11 a.m. May 6 on Main Street between Marshall Middle School and Grand Street.
• A street closure and noise variance request for 5 p.m.-10 p.m. June 2, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. June 3 and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. June 4 on the 100 block of Davis Street and Second Street between Edwards and Davis Streets for the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Fiesta.
• A street closure request for 9 a.m.-11 a.m. June 3 on Main Street between Hilltop Plaza and First Street for the Pioneer Days Parade.
• A street closure request for 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 16 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. June 17 on Sycamore Street between Fairmont Court and 14th Street for the Clovis Soapbox Derby.
• Reports on federal and state activities from John Ryan, the Colonial Park Golf Course and the Levine’s Building.
• Proclamations for National Volunteer Week April 23-29 and National Day of Prayer May 1.
