Festival style on the wild side

It’s festival time and one of the most fun times to play with fashion. Spring and summer festivities are all about the fun outdoors, arts and creative passions, so your outfit should fit the part.

Music festivals and concert fashions are all about showcasing your best bohemian or boho and hippie-chic styles. With every look there are always key pieces to build from and many different looks to create your best boho or hippie concert fashion.

One piece you can build from is a maxi skirt. Pair your maxi with a graphic T-shirt. A solid-colored skirt is the best to build outfits from.

For shirts, try on something whimsical like wrinkled cotton or tops with embroidery or lace.

In accessories you need earthy jewelry, a brimmed hat and your favorite colored lenses and sunglasses straight out of the Janis Joplin era. Instead of a choker, try wrapping a this scarf around your neck to make your top a bit more chic. This year, festival-goers are ditching the flower crowns and instead are sampling off-the-shoulder tops, floral prints, crop tops and denim.

Popular shoes are a revamped version of previous festival favorites. Your combat boots can be paired with fun, colorful tube socks and cut off shorts. Ankle boots and your strappy sandal may be embellished with colorful pom-poms.

A cross-body bag is just as essential as a hat for the occasion because you're going to want to be hands free. The softer the fabric of your bag the better for a lighter weight on your shoulders and less fuss when handling.

Other fun ideas concert-goers are doing are fun body art details such as hair glitter and face paints.
