The following are items listed on the agenda for today’s Portales City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Memorial Building:
• Recognition of accreditation of the Portales Communications Department by the New Mexico Municipal League.
• A proclamation declaring May 7-May 13 Municipal Clerks Week.
• Request of the mayor’s signature on a Juvenile Adjudication Fund grant budget amendment.
• A resolution authorizing the City of Portales to submit an application to the Department of Finance and Administration to participate in the Juvenile Adjudication Program for the 2018 fiscal year.
• Approval of the final plat of North Pointe Subdivision, Unit 2.
Roosevelt County Commission
PORTALES — Roosevelt County commissioners will be making some final decisions on the county’s 2017-18 fiscal year budget today at a workshop following their regular commission meeting.
Along with trying to finalize budget, commissioners will also hear a third quarter report for the current fiscal year from County Manager Amber Hamilton.
The following are other items listed on today’s agenda for the Roosevelt County Commission meeting at 9 a.m. in the Commission Room of the county courthouse:
• Two road viewer reports and consideration of more road closures
• Request for disposal of a military truck from the Arch Fire Department to the Lazbuddie Fire Department
• A resolution declaring the first week of May as National Corrections Officer Week
• A resolution supporting the funding of higher education
• A resolution for notice of intent to adopt the county road policy, as well as consideration of the personnel policy following a public hearing
• Request for approval of a contract with Little Wranglers for the use of the Special Events Center and Jake Lopez Community Center at the fairgrounds
• Requests for approval of sand dumping fee agreements with Grande Vida Dairy and Cooper Legacy Dairy
