State roads getting chipseal

The Curry County Road Department is scheduled to be overlaying chip seal on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:45 a.m. to mid afternoon on the state roads.

Roads affected include Mississippi, Alabama, Dakota and Louisiana streets, Southland Drive and Carolina Court.

The road department recommends seeking an alternate route when taking those roadways due to potential damage to the newly laid road and the possibility of “making a mess of your vehicle.”
