1967: The city of Clovis released traffic statistics through June.
It had recorded 453 accidents for the year so far, compared to 520 for the same time in 1966.
The city had not seen any traffic fatalities in 1967, compare to four through June of 1966.
The year's accidents had resulted in 75 injuries, compared to 150 in 1966.
1967: Kenna's Jenny Ann Cooper had a new job: registrar of the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell campus.
Branch Dean Dave Traylor said Cooper's duties would also include processing applications for admission.
She had been assistant registrar for off-campus programs at ENMU.
She was the daughter of Kenna's Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Cooper.
