Clovis to hand out football equipment

CLOVIS — Equipment will be handed out for the upcoming Clovis High School football season Thursday and Friday, beginning 5:30 p.m. both days.

Players entering their freshman year will pick up equipment at the CHS Freshman Academy. Sophomores, juniors and seniors will pick up equipment at the high school.

Proof of a physical must be presented before a player can receive equipment or participate in practice.

The first week of two-a-day practices will run 7-8:30 a.m. and 9:45-11:15 a.m.

Clovis will scrimmage at Roswell on Aug. 17, and host Hobbs in its opener on Aug. 25.
