CLOVIS — Eric Roanhaus spent 39 seasons coaching Clovis High School football. His name may be associated with the program for many more years.
School Superintendent Jody Balch is set to recommend naming the Clovis High fieldhouse — or the field itself, but not the stadium — in honor of the longtime coach when the school board meets at 5:30 tonight.
The meeting is scheduled for the administration building at1009 Main St.
Roanhaus retired after last season.
Also at tonight's meeting, the board is expected to consider an Oct. 23-29 travel request from CHS FFA for nine students and two sponsors to attend the National FFA Parliamentary Procedure Contest and Convention.
On the agenda are also revisions to certain board policies concerning open enrollment, attendance zones and student safety, as well as the removal of various items including two computers from district inventory.
