Water meeting set for 1 p.m.

CLOVIS — The Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority is due to discuss some details of filling its executive director position this afternoon at its regular meeting.

It’s scheduled for 1 p.m. in County Commission chambers at 417 Gidding St. in Clovis.

Outgoing Executive Director Justin Howalt said today’s discussion will not concern any specific candidates for the role but simply “how the authority wants to go about posting the job, the when and the where.”

Also on the agenda:

• Request for approval of an offer and easement agreement for a property near Portales’ finished water tanks.

• Presentations and reports from board members and staff.
