Taylor Rey, Miss New Mexico 2017, made it to the semifinals of the Miss America pageant Sept. 10 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Rey, 22, placed in the top 15, according to Miss New Mexico Director Greg Smith.
Savannah Shields of Arkansas was crowned Miss America 2017.
The Miss New Mexico pageant was held June 17 at the University Theatre Center in Portales.
