Time for pro players to stop crying, stand like educated Americans
The more I hear about football players disrespecting our anthem and flag, the sicker to my stomach I become.
No doubt other combat vets who fought for our freedom feel exactly the same.
Do these non-patriots really know what suppression is? Are they the least bit aware of how people in other countries are treated?
People in places like North Korea have lives that must be lived to support and satisfy the whims of their dictators; if they don’t, there’s a good chance their life will be terminated. We see no signs of this in America.
Suppressed people do not have the opportunity to pursue employment that will give them the greater status. Black people in America are free to get as far as they desire according to their talents and ambition. Those who exercise their talents and ambition naturally go further. This applies to all people regardless of race.
There are many blacks who have made great inroads in the business world, government and other fields because they took the bull by the horns rather than live in self-pity.
Professional sports in America has just about been taken over by blacks. It’s safe to say that in a few years white players won’t be seen on any playing field. That doesn’t sound like suppression to me.
So, Colin Kaepernick and friends, I can only say to you: stop being such crybabies.
It’s time for you to wipe away the tears and stand up like grown educated Americans. When Sunday rolls around, don the uniform that you get paid so well to wear and play the game as it was meant to be played, including the pregame ceremonies.
My buddies and me will look up, not down, to you.
