Fall fashions are across the board for revamping throwbacks and the November issue of InStyle magazine covers a few with a visual rundown on the seasons hottes trends. From patterns, accessories to jewelry, here are some details for the looks you may want to try this fall.
Military style: Military style fashion is nothing new but the looks update every year. From military trenches lined in fur to patches, sailor buttons and combat boots; you can mix and match your favorite military inspired gear with other favorite fall fashions. For instance, olive or khaki jumpsuits paired with leather pointed toe boots.
Plaids: Your classic button up flannel isn’t the only way to wear your plaid this season. This pattern has come and gone more times than one can count and is another pattern that gets updated each time it comes around. Opt for a classic plaid blazer or try a matching two-piece plaid top and bottom. Mix and match your plaids with solids if you prefer. Plaid shirts, dresses and skirts are all trending this fall.
Pouf sleeves: This one is a definite favorite for fall. It’s okay to get excited by a little volume to your sleeve. Choose ones that flare out or shoulders that blow out. The 80s were known for short skirts and big shoulders and the look is back in full effect.
Ode to the 90s: The era of the mini backpacks and Doc Martens boots is still getting a 2017 style revamp. Some other styles that are back and here to stay for a while are fitted leather jackets and matching sets. Some others that will be sticking around for a while are mom jeans, track pants and suits, jean jackets and skirts and chokers.
Pick of the season: Fashion is at it’s finest in 2017 and going forward because of the 'no rules' notion. My favorite look of the season is big knit sweaters paired with long flowy skirts and knee high boots.
