LUBBOCK — The Clovis High swim teams set three meet records with their event wins, and finished second and sixth in the weekend Lubbock 5A Fall Invite at the Pete Ragus Aquatic Center.
Between the finals and preliminaries, Clovis’ teams posted 28 state-qualifying times. The Wildcat girls posted 486 points to finish second in team competition, while the boys had 261 points in their sixth-place finish.
Host Lubbock High dominated the meet, posting 807 points in boys competition and 687 in girls competition.
Meet records were set by James Skuse in the 100 backstroke (53.45) and 200 individual medley (2:00.62) and Olivia Reeb in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.67).
Clovis is scheduled for a meet this weekend at Carlsbad before taking a bye week.
