Recycle that fab outfit

No one likes to feel like they've wasted a great outfit, especially after putting a lot of thought into the look. Did you look especially nice at your holiday party this year but forgot to take pictures? That's okay, because there's always an event that's equal to in dress attire waiting for you to attend. Same outfit. Different crowd. Great pictures.

As an advocate of dressing trendy on a budget, I wholeheartedly support the idea of recycling a great outfit. Fashion is too fast and cyclic to have the mindset that you can only wear something once. Whether you wait one a week, a month or years before you put something back on again, it’s always a great idea to get the most wear out of anything you love. Unless, you just have the money to throw away.

What makes wearing an outfit more than one time so fun is that you have the chance to wear it even better the next time around. For instance, you may have an authentic item from your past and you want to pay homage to that decade by incorporating it with whatever's trending today. There are far too many ways to interpret an outfit whether you wore it 10 days ago or 10 years ago.

Maybe you've gained a wider selection of shoes and now you've acquired a pair that will look better with your green trousers you wore last month. Or maybe your new hairstyle this year complements the blue off-the-shoulder top you wore two years ago.

A few tips on what items to change around to help you be more creative are always going to be changing your accessories out, choosing a different hairstyle, pairing new shoes or just simply letting some time pass. Most importantly, stay true to what works for you and you'll always get it right each time.
