The Yucca seventh-grade boys A basketball team lost to Texico on Tuesday.
The score was 54- 32. Scoring for Yucca was led by Ayden Carey with 20 points. Carey hit a school-record six 3-pointers in the game. Also scoring for Yucca were Kaleb Tilley with seven points, Nathan Sandoval with four, and Kevin Duong with one.
The Chaps return to action Jan. 8 when they play Marshall Middle School.
