Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
ALBUQUERQUE — Bart Simpson’s frequent saying “Don’t have a cow, man” does not apply to Deming rancher Joe Bill Nunn.
Nunn was recently named 2018 Cattleman of the Year by the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association at the Joint Stockmen’s Convention in Albuquerque.
“Joe Bill is a rancher, a cattleman, a family man, a good neighbor and a friend,” said Elida resident and NMCGA President Pat Boone in a NMCGA news release. “He has shared his time, talent and resources with the Association for many years — helping educate the public about agriculture, advocating with state legislators and agencies, helping develop NMCGA policy — and more. We are proud to have this opportunity to honor Joe Bill and his family for all they have done on behalf of ranching in New Mexico.”
The NMCGA has issued the award since 1952 and the winner is selected by the NWCGA board of directors.
