CLOVIS — Law officers have issued an arrest warrant for a 25-year-old woman following a shooting on Tuesday afternoon.
Gabrielle Carver, described as a 5-foot-7, 160-pound Hispanic female, is wanted for aggravated battery, according to a news release from Clovis police.
A 46-year-old man told police that Carver shot him in his left thigh a little before 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Wallace Street, the release said. The victim, who was not named by police, said Carver shot him with a sawed-off rifle.
The condition of the victim was not released, but police said he was treated at Plains Regional Medical Center. "The wound appeared to be an entrance and exit wound," the release said.
