Police: Shots fired near 11th and Walnut

CLOVIS — Police are investigating reports of shots fired about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday near the corner of 11th and Walnut streets.

A caller told police "they had heard four gunshots and had seen a male subject running into a home," according to a police news release.

"On arrival, Officers made contact with multiple female subjects at a residence in the area. When contacted they denied knowledge of anyone running into their home. During a canvass of the area Officers located three expended bullet casings in the roadway in front of their residence. Damage, consistent with bullet impacts, was found on an apartment wall north of the incident. No projectiles were recovered. The target of the shooting was not located."
