The force is strong in Clovis

CLOVIS — The force was strong this holiday season as “Star Wars” continues to rake in money.

The latest movie in the series, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” was 2017’s highest grossing film, earning $574 million in 2017, according to boxofficemojo.com

The movie’s popularity extended to Clovis as well.

“It did well. ‘Star Wars’ people really liked it. Many said it’s better than any of the previous ones and it’s been well received,” North Plains Cinema 7 General Manager Abby Parrish said.

The film ends its run at the Clovis theater today.
