What do you like about the jobs you've held and/or your community involvement?
I retired from Western Bank here in Clovis. I spent 14 years there. Even though I'm a private person, what I really enjoy about all the work I've done is meeting new people. I think it shows in the type of community service work I do. I enjoy people.
When you were a kid, what did you think you'd be doing as an adult?
I wanted to be a nurse. My mother was a nurse and my sister is a nurse. But I also wanted to marry the man of my dreams and I did.
What do you do when you're not working?
We have a lake house in Logan. I love my flowers and bushes and to just relax when we go there.
What's your favorite song at the moment?
I love music so I don't have a favorite song but I love the music from Bobby Vee (Robert Thomas Velline). I've met him once. I just love the oldies. Music from the 1950s and 1960s are my favorite.
What's so great about your favorite sport?
I just really love sports in general. I've had reserved tickets for the local games for over 40 years now. I love to watch baseball and volleyball. But if I have to pick a favorite it would be softball.
What is your favorite quote?
If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all.
What was the last costume you wore?
A devil costume. It was given to me by my boss at the time. She could no longer wear it and I still have it.
If you could master one instrument, what would it be?
Piano. Because you can make it talk. I've always wanted to play.
