PORTALES — Today’s Roosevelt General Hospital Board of Trustees meeting will focus on some of the changes to the board 2018 has brought.
The board will hold its annual election of officers, just in time for the arrival of new member Virginia Clemmons and returning member Doug Stone.
“Every year, we elect our chairman and secretary treasurer. We’ll do it in December at times, but because we’re having the new member come on, we wanted to give that member an opportunity to be either chairman or secretary treasurer if they wanted, so we’re doing it in January,” said Medical Staff Services Coordinator Lizzette Dominguez.
The board also waited to consider its 2018 meetings schedule until Clemmons arrived, according to Dominguez.
Also at today’s meeting, set for 5:30 p.m. in the Fred Anthony Conference Room at RGH:
• Reports from the hospital’s CEO and infection and control coordinator, a report on the physicians clinic, and the hospital’s December 2017 financial report.
• A resolution to confirm the board’s compliance with the Open Meetings Act.
• Credentials and privilege forms for hospital staff. Dominguez said two doctors are receiving credentials, and a revision to a privilege form on ophthalmology has been requested.
