CLOVIS — With election season just around the corner, the Curry County Clerk’s Office is asking residents to verify the information on their voter registration, according to a press release from Curry County Clerk Annie Hogland.
The clerk’s office is asking residents to verify that they are registered to vote in Curry County with the address where they live.
The clerk’s office is also asking prospective candidates to verify the information on their registration form because the information can’t be changed after Jan. 29 when New Mexico Gov. Susanna Martinez issues the proclamation calling for the election.
Also anyone wishing to cast a ballot in the June 5 primary must register with a political party to be eligible to vote because New Mexico has closed primary elections.
Residents can contact the clerk’s office with any questions at 575-763-5591.
