Man arrested for sexual assault of child

SIERRA VISTA, ARIZONA — A man was arrested Tuesday in Arizona, charged with sexually assaulting a 4-year old girl in Fort Sumner in September, according to New Mexico State Police.

Robert M. Kelsey, 47, was arrested in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where he will be arraigned before facing extradition to New Mexico on a charge of felony criminal sexual contact of a minor under the age of 13, said the NMSP press release.

Police said they were contacted Jan. 20 to investigate the allegations.
