Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
There’s a change coming this Wednesday, and we’re certain it’s going to be a big benefit to the community in many ways.
Our free newspaper, My Eastern New Mexico PLUS, has undergone a facelift and a rejuvenation. The PLUS is our TMC — Total Market Coverage — product. It’s also commonly known as simply “The Shopper.”
It took on the name My Eastern New Mexico PLUS back in November 2016 when we formed The Eastern New Mexico News as a combination of the Clovis News Journal and Portales News-Tribune. Over the years, you’ve also known our TMC product by the monikers of My Eastern New Mexico, The Shoppette and Admart.
You’ll see the revamped version for the first time this Wednesday. Subscribers to The News will, as usual, have it tucked inside their paper that morning. We’ll also continue to distribute the PLUS on racks and newsstands all across eastern New Mexico and west Texas. It will still be free.
Let’s talk about the makeover that the PLUS has gone through. We stayed away from the liposuction and Botox. Instead, we injected it with classified and local ads.
This transformation makes the PLUS much more community friendly. We transitioned away from stories about regional events, columns and an admittedly less-than-great “regional” calendar.
It’s now a place to reach the masses with your low-cost, high-impact ad. Whether you’re selling a house, a car, farming equipment, gaming system or … well, you get the idea … the PLUS will be full of weekly Wednesday bargains.
It’s a new, great opportunity for both individual sellers and buyers. It’s now a one-stop spot to peruse what’s for sale in the community and where the garage sales are taking place. For buyers, it will become the best place to scour for deals and bargains.
Additionally, local companies and businesses also have a new opportunity for high-impact ads at a low cost to reach more than 30,000 eyes across the region. Places such as Evans Jewelers, The Shoe String, Car-Co, RB Toyota, My Time Donuts, Go Fitness and Hobby Lobby are some of the ads you’ll find this week.
The PLUS will take on a new role as a service to the community with tremendous reach. It’s going to be a great place to get the word out — from sales, deals and specials to special events.
It also has its own Facebook page now. Just search for: My Eastern New Mexico PLUS, and give us a like and a follow.
We look forward to you picking up and enjoying the first “new edition” of the PLUS this Wednesday. We anticipate that you’ll find it useful each week, and it turns into a must-read for local bargain hunters.
