ENMU planning football triple option offense clinic

PORTALES — The Eastern New Mexico University football program will hold a Ground Strike Triple-Option Clinic March 22-23 at the college.

Practices and scrimmages will be at Greyhound Stadium, with practices beginning March 22. Registration will be 8 a.m. March 23 at Becky Sharp Auditorium in the College of Business. The clinic is $45 per coach or $120 per staff.

Greyhound coach Kelley Lee will be one of six speakers at the clinic, along with Odessa Permian offensive coordinator Thad Fortune, Prince of Peace coach Larry Thexton, Altus coach Todd Vargus, Altus offensive coordinator Dusty Davis and Kempner offensive coordinator Michael Gaston.

Lee served for five years as ENMU’s offensive coordinator before his elevation to head coach in 2017. The Greyhounds led Division II in rushing and time of possession last season.
