Club notes - March 11

Curry County Retired Educators

Eileen Massey called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. and welcomed guest speaker Margaret Hinchee, director of Clovis Carver Library. Hinchee, who was introduced by Andrea Bigelow, enumerated the many services and programs offered by the public library after having given listeners a short history of the library. A few of the services mentioned were the reference/information services, inter-library loans, book reserves, public-use computers, public meeting rooms, story hour and summer reading programs, notary services and tours. CCAER members were given many handouts to help with our edification and questions were taken from the floor following her presentation.

We invite all retired Curry County teachers to join us at K-Bob's at 11 a.m. for lunch, 11:30 a.m. for the program. Our next meeting will be April 3. Speaker: Paul Chinikidiadi, an inspirational speaker. Information: Sandra Bates 575-769-1607
