Dance teams take home awards

SANTA FE — Five Clovis Municipal Schools dance teams took home several awards from the Santa Fe Dance Festival on March 10, according to a CMS press release.

Clovis High Varsity Wildcadettes coach Kymberly Cordova said the top prize earned at the event was the Wildcadettes’ second-place finish in the Best of the Best competition that included 31 teams.

The full list of awards earned by CMS dance teams at the Santa Fe Dance Festival are as follows:

CHS Varsity Wildcadettes:

• Best of the Best — 2nd place (31 teams)

• Best in Class Ensemble — Trystan Hennessy, Ashley Eisenmann, Mazdin Grim

• 2nd Runner Up Soloist — Gahbrielle McBride
