Nieka Style: These boots were made for springtime

Your best fashion should always happen in the spring. That’s because it’s the season of not-so-cold, not-so-hot days, and we get to have the most fun with shoes, accessories and apparel.

While you may be shopping the newest or trendy sandals for these warmer days, you don’t have to put your boots away. I totally think boots should be worn all year ’round.

There are a variety of cute boot styles still out there for you to try. The first boot trend you may have already noticed popping up all over the place is in white. Specifically, your white boots should be slightly above the ankle, have a gloss finish. They may either be pointed toe with a stiletto heel, or round toe and chunky heel.

The latest trend in white boots are calf high in a puffy or fitted style.

The next boot for spring is the lace-up and/or strappy prairie boot. These boots are great because they pair well with a flowy summer dress. The prairie boot is a nicer step up from the combat boot. But if combat boots are your style, make for a chunky pair.

From sneakers to boots, platform shoes are making a huge fashion movement this year. If you want to look like a go-go dancer, you can try a pair of knee-high French Cap toes.

But in case you don’t feel like knee-high boots are suitable for the season, there are also many selections of cutout knee-high boots to try as well. A look like this look may make you feel and look a little bit more breezy for the warmer climate.

Last but not least, you can’t go wrong with a pair of traditional black or brown suede booties. Then for your eccentric side, try on a pair of printed floral or sock boots.
