Clovis teacher honored

Clovis High School teacher Amy Garcia was honored as the 2018 New Mexico Association for Career and Technical Education (NMACTE) Teacher of the Year, according to a news release from Clovis schools.

The award was presented this month at the NMACTE conference in Albuquerque.

The organization’s awards recognize those “who have contributed to the success of (career and technical education) through the quality of their work and their involvement in the community.”

Garcia has been a CTE teacher for CMS since 1999 and also serves as the advisor to the CHS Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
