Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
CLOVIS — Clovis High School’s busy athletics schedule Friday was no match for Mother Nature.
High winds forced postponement Friday of three different Clovis home events — a 1:30 p.m. tennis match against Santa Fe, and 5 p.m. baseball and softball doubleheaders against Sandia.
The tennis match was rescheduled to 1:30 pm. Monday at the Clovis Community College courts. The baseball and softball rescheduling depends on when Albuquerque Public Schools can arrange transportation.
Clovis High softball coach Brandi Thomas guessed the games would be made up either Monday or Wednesday, because Clovis has a doubleheader Tuesday at Portales.
