Add some dazzle with these accessories

In most cases, accessories can make a boring look more fabulous. One of my top five favorite accessories are earrings and there are some stellar options out there. In a time when it's totally okay to shave your head and not have people think you need to be committed, this year's best styles are colorful and eccentric enough to compensate any type of hair or no hair.

First, you have the multiple piercing trend where you can mix and match all types of uniquely cut, colorful, girlie studs like gold balls mixed with rainbows and dimensional hearts or unicorns. The more piercings you have the more creative you can get.

The 'ear crawler' is another great statement earring or cuff. The ear crawler is that really unique earring that look like you're wearing a fancy earpiece and is usually just worn on one side. I think they're great, especially ear cuffs. I've seen one shaped like a bedazzled elf's ear.

But if you like the big and bold look of earrings, you shouldn’t have any problem finding the shoulder-grazing statement earrings that have been a must-have for a few seasons. The colorful tassel earrings are very popular and come in so many looks.

Number two in statement accessories are sunglasses. If you love a pair of oversized sunglasses than you're with me. You may have seen some celebs opt for the 1990s small sunglasses routine but they've already become yesterday's news.

The year's top pick sunglasses are larger than life. Visualize your favorite 1950s charmer who wore the big blacked-out eyewear dressed with a headscarf. This is the look we're going for. But it's not so much the size frame of your sunglasses that matter so much it's statement eyewear that the matters most.

If you're looking for even more charm then go for my number three accessory pick, the Baker Boy hat. It’s the perfect step up from the traditional baseball cap and the perfect finish for your weekend ensemble. Pair with a cute blouse and jeans which is always the choice when you're feeling less than creative.

Whether you prefer the fanny pack or the belt bag, these are my number four and five picks. The cool bag trend continues to dominate. Try one on. You'd be surprised how one can transform an outfit.
