Area students earn scholarships

About three dozen students received over $130,000 in scholarships from Plateau’s Cooperative Education Foundation, according to a company press release.

Money for the scholarships comes from Plateau members’ donated and abandoned credit card payments.

The following local recipients were honored at Plateau’s Annual Membership Meeting in April last month in Santa Rosa:

$8,000 Robert M. Harris Memorial Scholarship:

• Avery Madison Lee – Grady High School

• Abigail Anne Wilton – Fort Sumner High School

$8,000 Evelyn Patterson Memorial Scholarship:

• Danika Elise Nelson – Texico High School

$3,000 Banner Scholarship:

• Kabel Aaron Brooks – Clovis High School

• Kreston Edward Butterfield – Fort Sumner High School

• Matthew Ryan Dale – Farwell High School

• Jazmin Cleopatra Regalado Hernandez – Fort Sumner High School

• Cheyenne Lee Horne – Logan High School

• Kaylee Jayce Miller – Texico High School

• Jack Everett Palla – Clovis High School

• Trevellion James Rinestine – Logan High School

• Rebecca Rae Rush – Melrose High School

• Vicki Skyler Saul – Grady High School
