ENMU track moves up to 20th in D-II poll

PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University's men's track team moved up again in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and now sit 20th in Division II.

Eastern is one of five Lone Star Conference teams in the poll, along with Texas A&M-Kingsville (third), Texas A&M-Commerce (fourth), Angelo State (7) and West Texas A&M (11).

The Greyhounds finished sixth in the LSC championships last weekend, with Marcus Parker winning both the 100 and 200 and Kenneth Lloyd second in high jump.

Parker has the top Division II time in the 200 (20.43) and third-best in the 100 (10.17). Lloyd is currently sixth in the nation in high jump at 7-0.25.

The Greyhounds head to West Texas A&M Sunday for their final meet before the Division II championships.
