AARHUS, Denmark — The Bakken Bears are one again champions of BasketLigaen, this time with Clovis native Jaye Crockett leading the way.
The Bears defeated Horsens IC 83-76 on Monday to finish off a 4-0 sweep in the league championships. It was the only game within single digits, as the Bears won their four games by a combined 54 points.
Crockett, a 2010 Clovis High graduate, averaged 19 points and seven rebounds in the four games. In the closer, Crockett scored 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting to lead five Bears in double figures and pulled down five rebounds.
In his first season with the Bears, Crockett averaged 12.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
The Bears have now won a record 16 championships in BasketLigaen, regarded as Denmark’s top-tier league.
