Eastern's Perez makes LSC All-Tournament

PORTALES — The Lone Star Conference released its All-Tournament Team, following last weekend's postseason tournament. Eastern New Mexico University was well represented following the baseball team's historic run, with the selection of pitcher Enrique Perez.

In the opening round of the tournament, Perez earned the start for ENMU against Angelo State and scattered four hits over 5.1 innings. In his 79-pitch outing, the junior right-hander held the fourth-seeded Rams hitless for 4.1 innings. Perez allowed just one run in the sixth inning.

Perez's performance played a major role in the Greyhounds posting their first-ever postseason victory. That win placed ENMU in the LSC Tournament semifinals, last Friday.
