Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Military families, don’t pass up a chance to get your culture fix for free this summer. The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs announced on Wednesday that military personnel and their families will have free access to eight state-run museums and cultural sites from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
In a press release, NMDCA Cabinet Secretary Veronica Gonzales explained that the locations were joining more than 2,000 museums nationally in the “Blue Star Museums” initiative, which “honors the sacrifices of our military men and women and their families, by offering fun, free activity during the summer months.”
