Memorial day is one week from Monday and that means a 3-day weekend for many. A lot of you will be traveling for the holiday and by now your activity plans are already in order. To get you picture-ready for a weekend of festivities, take some of these packing and outfit tips to give a leg up on holiday planning.
Whatever is on your agenda for next week, there are a few simple ways your holiday outfits will serve you for the rest of summer. You won't even have to go shopping because with just a little creativity, most of your new looks are already in your closet.
First, for your beach plans, grab your most-favorite one-piece bathing suit. One-pieces have been trending for at least 3 years and with a little extra coverage on the beach you will be your most comfortable. Plus, this suit serves you well when paired with a long flowing maxi skirt. Building an outfit from your suit is very convenient to wear while enjoying the great outdoors before you get into the water.
The perfect all-wear accessory you don't want to leave home without is a pair of dark tinted classic sunglasses, a wide brimmed summer hat and strappy sandals. These should be your top accessories to look good and beat the heat and will also fit into all your summer travels.
No matter how elaborate your it itinerary is, it's best to plan your outfit ideas for the possibilities as well. You will need a sightseeing outfit, an afternoon luncheon look and a look for a night out on the town. Just like the weather, your plans could change and you should be prepared for whatever that is. To prepare you need to choose items you can dress up or down like light denim pieces and tank summer dresses that can be worn with a flat or a mule. Select a few on-trend and classic pieces that will work interchangeably so that your three outfits can be transformed into 6.
Mix and match, accessorize and your creative mind will do the rest.
