Routine business slated for Clovis school board

CLOVIS — At tonight's penultimate meeting of the school year, the Clovis Municipal School Board of Education is slated to handle a slew of routine annual business.

Included on the agenda is the board's Open Meetings Act resolution and a resolution to allow members to participate in meetings via teleconference, which need to be renewed each year.

The board will also vote on next school year's instructional calendar and budget, which came before the board at its April 24 meeting, a contract with Jaramillo Accounting Services to provide an audit of fiscal year 2018 and a contract with Adair, Inc. for school bus and activity bus services.

Other items on the agenda for the 5:30 p.m. meeting at the administration building at 1009 Main St. include:

• The disposal of various items from the district inventory, including projectors to be donated to Portales and Grady schools

• A pair of travel requests: the Clovis High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) trip to the FCCLA National Conference in Atlanta in June and the CHS band trip to the Bands of America Super Regional held in St. Louis in October.
