Portales officials expected to declare Flag Day

PORTALES — City councilors in Portales are expected to declare June 14 as Flag Day in Portales when they meet at 6:30 tonight.

The meeting is slated for the Memorial Building Council Chambers at 200 E. Seventh St. in Portales.

Also on the agenda:

• A request for authorization to execute a grant between the Department of Finance & Administration/Local Government Division and the city of Portales for the DWI Program.

• A resolution for participation in the Local Government Road Fund Program administered by New Mexico Department of Transportation.

• A resolution authorizing the mayor / mayor pro-tem’s signature on a Litter Control & Beautification Grant.

• Recommendations for the city of Portales Neighborhood Clean-up Assistance Program.
