My name is Carisima Pyle. I am 39 years old, I was born in Tucumcari and I currently live in Clovis. I am definitely a small-town girl.

I am happily married to my best friend, Curry County Manager Lance Pyle. We have been married for eight wonderful years. We have two amazing little girls, Laikyn (5) and Lexie (3).

Being a wife and mommy is a huge blessing. I work for Western States Insurance Group. I have been there for almost nine years. I enjoy getting to know people and serving our customers. I love being part of a team and everyone I work with.

How did you meet your spouse?

I met Lance 12 years ago at a Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship breakfast. A mutual friend introduced us.

I remember this handsome gentleman walking towards me in a gray suit. He extended his hand, and we introduced ourselves and planned to talk on the phone later that night.

When he turned to walk away I looked at my friend (who I had attended the breakfast with) and said to her, "I am going to marry him." And four years later ... I did.

What's your idea of a perfect day?

A day with my family - whether it be a day full of tea parties, singing karaoke, Barbie's, walks, cooking together, cuddling or just reading books ... As long as I am with my Lance, Laikyn and Lexie, it's a perfect day.

I am extremely grateful for God's love, mercy and his grace.

What are you reading?

I just finished a book called "She Believes" by Debbie Lindell. It's an excellent read.

Some friends just recently recommended the book "The Best Yes" by Lysa Terkeurst, so I will be starting that soon.

Do you have a celebrity crush?

The first time I saw the movie "Failure to Launch," I developed a small crush on Matthew McConaughey.

If money were no object, what would you do to make eastern New Mexico a better place?

If money were no object I would make sure that every child had plenty to eat, clothing, proper medical attention, an education, and childcare would always be provided for working parents. I believe this would better eastern New Mexico as the children are the future.

What is your favorite hobby?

Being a wife and a mommy. It is an absolute joy.

Tell us about your favorite place to travel?

I love to travel to Alto with my family. It is such a peaceful and quiet place. There are deer everywhere and the air is just so fresh and cool there.

San Diego is another one of my favorite places to travel. The weather, food and the beaches are excellent.
