RICHARDSON, Texas — The Lone Star Conference announced its Commissioner’s Honor Roll list for the 2017-18 spring semester on Tuesday, and Eastern New Mexico was among the LSC’s better-performing schools.

The Greyhounds, who have had a number of student-athletes honored with various academic awards already this spring, recorded the fifth-highest number of honorees within the league. ENMU had 107 athletes honored by the Commissioner’s office, trailing only West Texas A&M (124), Angelo State and UT-Permian Basin (121 apiece) and Texas A&M-Commerce (115).

Notable Greyhound honorees include track and field’s Ezra Bagwell and Danee Bustos, softball’s Erikka Burke, baseball’s Keenan Dodd, football’s Brad Hardin and basketball’s Mikaehla Connor and Andre Hughes.

The overall list across the entire league accounts for 1,039 student-athletes, with 335 of those scoring a perfect 4.0 GPA.
