CLOVIS — A Curry County jail inmate caught with methamphetamine in his pocket was found guilty by a jury on Friday for possession of a controlled substance.
He faces up to 2 1/2 years in prison, according to a news release from District Attorney Andrea Reeb.
McDaniel, 48, was arrested on 10 active warrants on Oct. 11, 2017, the release said. The meth was found in his coat pocket after he’d been incarcerated.
Reeb said officials do not know how McDaniel acquired the meth.
