Ballots sent to overseas voters

Ballots for the upcoming general election have been sent to New Mexico’s military and overseas voters, according to a press release from the secretary of state’s office.

Qualified voters include U.S. citizens and their spouses whose permanent residence is in New Mexico but are currently outside the state or country due to their military service.

Qualified voters who have registered before the Oct. 9 deadline can request ballots from their county clerk or online at nmvote.org up until Nov. 2 and have until 7 p.m. on election day Nov. 6 to submit ballots via mail, email or fax.
