Gattis 7th tops Yucca
After a slow first half start, the Gattis seventh-grade Fighting Cubs defeated the Yucca Chaparrals, 30-28.
Scoring for the Cubs on offense were Kash Roberts, who scored on two 70-yard touchdown runs and kicked four PATs, Jett Stone on touchdown runs of 30 and 50 yards. On defense, Will Jordan notched two points for the Cubs when he tackled the Yucca QB in the end zone for a safety.
The Gattis special teams also blocked a punt in the game.
The Cubs moved to 3-0, and will face Marshall 6 p.m. Tuesday at Norman Vohs Field. The game will determine the top two seeds for the upcoming playoffs.
