CANYON, Texas - Hannah Kelley-Lusk and West Texas A&M didn't need too long Wednesday to establish why they're perfect in the Lone Star Conference so far.
Kelley-Lusk scored just 1:45 into the game, and added an assist late as the No. 21 Lady Buffs took care of Eastern New Mexico 3-1 Wednesday night for their seventh-straight win and a 3-0 start in LSC play.
Maliyah Mendoza also notched a first-half tally for West Texas A&M (8-1), and Khaline Jacob buried a cross pass from Kelley-Lusk with six minutes to play for her eighth goal of the season.
Keyara Zuniga got on the board for the Greyhounds (3-3-2, 1-1-1) in the 88th minute, heading a corner kick from Samantha Fabela. The goal ended WT's bid for a fourth-consecutive win via shutout.
Both teams had nine shots on goal, with Courtney Dippel totaling eight saves for WT and Kirsten Lane six for the Hounds.
The Greyhounds head to Midwestern State to continue LSC play, with an 11 a.m. MDT start.
