RICHARDSON, Texas — The first three times Mercy Rotich ran a race this season, she was named the Lone Star Conference's female runner of the week the following week.
Rotich and the LSC are nothing if not consistent. Following her win at last week's LSC Preview meet at West Texas A&M, the LSC presented her with her fourth award of the season.
Rotich finished the 6K race in 21:48.65, giving her a lead of more than 90 seconds over second-place. The performance helped ENMU claim the team victory in the meet.
The time was the third-fastest 6K time in school history. She owns the four fastest marks.
The Greyhounds are off this week, and will head back to Canyon Nov. 3 for the LSC championship meet.
