Downed line causes power outage

CLOVIS — Over 1,000 customers were without power for about an hour Tuesday morning due to a downed line, according to a Xcel Energy spokesman.

Wes Reeves wrote in a message to The News that from 10:50 a.m. to 11:46 a.m. 1,115 customers were experiencing outages apparently caused by a downed line at 1605 E. Brady.

Reeves did not have any additional information as to what brought down the line.
