When my husband and I got married, he worked with a man doing construction. The man was also an animal rescuer and found this dog in an abandoned house in Clovis.
My husband and I took her in. All we knew about her at the time was that she was about 10-12 weeks old, was a boxer mix (hence her name) and had likely been abused and neglected. She was found with several other dogs.
We have been her forever home since April of 2009.
She has eaten countless cords, remotes and four smart phones. She hates car rides and the cold. Her happy place is in bed snuggled between my hubby and I, and we absolutely could not imagine life without our sweet Laila Joy (named after Laila Ali).
