PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico junior Paul Terry, who led the Greyhounds in rushing last season, received first-team honors on the Don Hansen All-Super Region Four Team on Tuesday.
Terry was joined by offensive guard Mister Birdo and kicker Tyler Vargas, who both were named to the third-team offense.
The 2018 season saw Terry rush for 989 yards and 10 touchdowns to top a deep Greyhound rushing squad. Eastern were second in the Lone Star Conference with 3,130 yards rushing. He was one of five players to rush for at least 200 yards on the season for the Greyhounds.
Terry will be in consideration for the Hansen All-American team to be released later this year.
Vargas hit eight of his nine field goal attempts on the season, with his lone miss blocked. He went 29-of-30 on extra points, and averaged 53.8 yards on kickoffs and 39.8 yards on punts.
