ENMU puts 144 on LSC honor roll
Eastern New Mexico University finished tied for second with 144 athletes honored on the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
In all, the LSC announced 1,237 student-athletes for the fall 2018 semester.
Angelo State led all schools with 147 members, just ahead of ENMU and West Texas A&M at 144 each. It also had the largest amount of students with a 4.0 grade point average, with 48 of the conference’s total 351.
Eastern New Mexico had 36 student-athletes earn a 4.0 GPA.
Football had the most perfect marks with 41, followed by softball (37), volleyball (36), women’s soccer (35) and baseball (34).
The honor roll is announced at the conclusion of each semester. To be eligible, student-athletes must be on the team roster and carry at least a 3.3 GPA.

Hobbs-Clovis ticket sale upcoming
Tickets for the Feb. 1 Clovis-Hobbs boys basketball game at Rock Staubus Gymnasium will go on sale 8 a.m. Jan. 28 at the Clovis High Athletics Office.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, senior citizens and military with ID. Anybody with a complimentary, family or student pass, or a staff member with an ID badge is eligible for a free ticket, but must come to the athletics office by noon Jan. 31 to claim a lower-level seat.
Lower-level tickets for the west end of the court will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, followed by upper level tickets on both sides of the court.
Advance tickets will be sold until 4 p.m. Jan. 31.
If any tickets are available at the door, they will be for the upper level sections only. Passes or staff IDs will be accepted.
Reserved seat ticket holders do not need to make any arrangements.
