CLOVIS — Plains Regional Medical Center officials are slated to give their annual report during Thursday’s Clovis city commission meeting.
According to a letter from PRMC Finance Manager Mark Lansford, the medical center makes a formal commitment to “uncompensated care” at the facility as part of its support of programs benefiting the indigent, uninsured or insured. During the calendar year of 2018, PRMC provided $7.4 million in uncompensated care, beyond the $3.3 million it agrees to with the city.
Other items on the agenda include:
• A 4:45 p.m. executive session to discuss pending or threatened litigation.
• Appointment of Jennifer Smith and Thomas Martin to the lodger’s tax advisory board.
• An update on the My Senior Center Program by Senior Services Director Barbara Riggan.
• A proclamation celebrating 100 years of operation for Cummins Natural Gas Engines.
• Appointment of James Ridling to the water policy advisory committee.
• Appointment of Ariana Terns to the parks, recreation and beautification committee.
• A write-off of $464,957.83 in ambulance fees in 2014. The department can pursue account balances for four years.
• A $452,359.07 contract with Reid Roofing to reroof city hall. The roof was damaged by hail, and nearly $367,000 is covered by an insurance payout.
• A change order by K Barnett and Sons to relocate a reuse line on Seventh Street. The change order is $23,479.93.
